Cecelia Danthine and her husband, Roman, opened Acre Wood Farm Stand last month. The drop-in style farm stand is stocked with fresh eggs, produce, baked goods, firewood, cut flowers and more. Both Cecelia and Roman come from farming backgrounds, and wanted to start the farm stand business to get closer to their community.
With the second weekend of October coming up, here are five live music performances you can attend in Greer and Taylors. Starting with Rhythm Jab at Wild Ace Pizza & Pub on Thursday, and a Pink Party takeover by Brittani Angel, this weekend is sure to provide plenty of entertainment for the whole family.
October is packed with fall activities in the Upstate, including the Greer Arts & Eats Festival, Artisan Makers Market and various local attractions. There are four live music performances happening around Greer this week. Michael Cash will be performing at Teeter Tavern on Thursday, Sept. 25, while Chuck Falls will be playing at Cartwright Food Hall on Friday, Sept. 26. All Apologies Unplugged will be performing acoustic sounds at Pinky's Revenge on Friday, Sept. 26, and Burning Bridges will be playing at The Mason Jar on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Start off the rest of the week at Roller Sports Skating Rink for their skate night on Wednesday. Later this week, attend a sea shanty sing-along and a class on soil mixes. Finish out the week at The Southern Growl on Saturday for their ninth annual Growlfest.
