Kyndal Haroski stands alone in Riverside history.
With a basket late in Friday's game against Boiling Springs, Haroski reached the milestone of 2,000 career points.
Haroski, who is Riverside basketball's all-time leading scorer (between both boys and girls), achieved the milestone in a fitting way. She did it on senior night, with her family and friends in attendance to celebrate the looming conclusion of her historic career.
"I've put a lot of time and hard work in, and it's amazing to see it pay off," Haroski said. "I'm so thankful for my teammates and coaches who have believed in me along the way."
Haroski had already etched her name in the Riverside history books, guiding the Lady Warriors to their first-ever state title in 2024. Now, she adds another chapter in her story, one that likely won't be written over for a while.
"What's so special about Kyndal is that not only is she such an amazing player, but all of these girls on this team love her more than anything," said Riverside head coach Kevin Wyatt. "It's a rare combo to be that good and that loved."
Several of Haroski's past teammates shared messages of congratulations and gratitude.
"I'm incredibly proud of Kyndal and the work she's put in to reach this milestone," said former Riverside star Elly Trickett, who graduated last year. "Being her teammate has meant a lot to me. I'm grateful we had the chance to share so many special memories together."
"Kyndal's an amazing player, and she puts her heart out on the court every game," said Madison Garrido, Haroski's backcourt partner for two years. "I'm so proud of her, and to see her reach this new goal is incredible."
Sophia Powell, who was also a part of the 2023-24 state championship team with Haroski, is now a senior playing at North Myrtle Beach. But she made sure to send congratulations to Haroski on her achievement.
"Kyndal is one of the hardest-working people I've ever met," said Powell. "I'm beyond thankful for the years I got to share the court with her. I couldn't be more proud of the player and person she is."
Former Riverside head coach Brianne Jones, who led the 2023-24 state championship team, gave Haroski her first shot at the varsity level as just a seventh grader.
She's been watching from afar this season, proud of what her former player has accomplished.
"Kyndal has been a phenomenal player, and I’m thankful to have been part of her growth and development," said Jones. "She's spent countless hours in the gym working on her craft. Players like Kyndal are any coaches dream. She has been a pivotal part of Riverside’s basketball success, and I can’t wait to see what her future holds."
For now, Haroski will turn her focus toward finishing the regular season with her Lady Warriors.
These are her final few games, and though she's accomplished just about all there is to accomplish in a career, she's still going to miss Riverside and all it's meant to her.
"It's a family culture here," said Haroski. "That's what makes this team so great. These girls are my best friends. It's been an amazing journey, so I'm just enjoying the time I have left."
