It was a huge day for Greer-area volleyball on Saturday, with three Greer-area teams finishing undefeated at tournaments and winning tournament titles.
Eastside girls volleyball had a tremendous day at the Battle In The Burg tournament at Landrum High School, going undefeated and claiming the overall tournament championship.
Lane Clardy and Alice Bridges were named All-Tournament for the Lady Eagles.
Riverside boys volleyball also had a great day at the prestigious Dorman Cavalier Classic, continuing its dominant run of form. The Warriors went 5-0 on the day, sweeping powerhouses Dorman and Indian Land along the way, to claim the Dorman Cavalier Classic championship.
Riverside didn't lose a single set at the tournament. Tanner Tumblin was named the the All-Tournament team.
Riverside girls volleyball traveled down to the Aiken State Crossover on Saturday and went undefeated as well, claiming the silver bracket championship at the tournament. The Lady Warriors defeated Gilbert, James Island twice, and Hilton Head Island. They tied Summerville 1-1.
