March is a busy time for families as the weather begins to warm up. This month is an especially special time for Greer, which is celebrating its 150th birthday. 

The town has many ways to stay entertained on the weekends, from St. Patrick’s Day events to early Easter celebrations. Here’s a look at some events happening this month:

Greer Alive | Friday, March 13, 5-8 p.m.

  • Join Greer Alive at Greer City Park for a night of live music and great food. Performances this Friday will be by Greenville-based band Remedy 58.

Greer Farmers Market’s Celtic Market | Sunday, March 15, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • Join the Greer Farmers Market in Greer City Park for its Celtic Market. Enjoy Celtic tunes by Dr. Don, baked potatoes from Larios, alongside other themed booths.

Easter Eggtastic | Saturday, March 21, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • The City of Greer Parks, Recreation & Tourism department will host an early Easter event near the end of the month. Community members can come in and enjoy free activities such as inflatables, egg hunts, crafts and games. Find more information here.

The Greer 150 Big Bash | Saturday, March 28, 4-9 p.m.

  • Come out to downtown Greer to celebrate Greer’s official 150th birthday. Attendees can expect living history demonstrations, local vendors, live performances, a vintage car show and more. Find more information here.
