From free smoothies to book clubs to live music performances, Greer is kicking off 2026 with plenty of weekend events to enjoy.

Here’s a look at some activities happening in town this weekend.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe Grand Opening | All weekend

Greer welcomed a Tropical Smoothie Cafe back in December. The chain will officially be celebrating its grand opening this weekend, offering a free 24-oz smoothie with a food or bowl purchase. The discount applies to in-cafe purchases only, and is only available at the Greer cafe from Jan. 9-11.

The cafe has another special event this weekend. On Saturday, Jan. 10, the first 50 guests who arrive in the cafe will receive one free smoothie per week for a year. The cafe will open up at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

Bluegrass Brunch at The Southern Growl | Saturday, Jan. 10, 10 a.m.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., The Southern Growl will be hosting its weekly Bluegrass Brunch. Stop by for some tunes and brunch specials.

Silent Book Club | Saturday, Jan. 10, 1:30-3:30 p.m.

The Greenville Readers’ Hub will host its silent book club at Cartwright Food Hall on Saturday afternoon. Attendees should bring their own books.

Live Music at The Mason Jar | Saturday, Jan. 10, 7:30 p.m.

The Carolina Moon Band will be coming out for a live weekend performance at The Mason Jar. The group is a Greenville-based band that focuses on dance, rock, country, and R&B. This will be their first performance at the Trade Street eatery.
