Calvin “Toby” Ed Rochester, 46, born in Gaston, North Carolina passed away Sunday, October 18th, 2026. Toby was the husband of “Tish” Rochester and son of Eddie and Kay Rochester.
Toby was a devoted family man whose life was centered on God. He was a devout Christ follower whose wife was his treasure. He took great pride in his children and grandchildren, who were among his greatest joys in life. His dedication to his family was evident in the time, care, and unconditional love he gave to those closest to him. Toby cherished the love and support given by his parents. He was often seen as a father figure by those around him and he found happiness in caring for others.
In addition to his wife and parents Toby is fondly remembered by his children, Andrea Copeland “Torry”, Georgia Moss, Kaiden Rochester, Crystalyn Rochester, and Savannah Rochester; his grandchildren, Teaghan Copeland, Joanie Copeland and Langston Copeland; his siblings, Sheila Huffman, Jenifer Hamrick, Scottie Rochester; his uncle Harold Hamrick “Jamie”; his aunt Melissa Bumgarner; his nieces Destiny Smith and Kaitlin Huffman; his nephew Peyton Huffman, and his loving loyal dog Sami.
Toby was preceded in death by his sister, Crystal Rochester, and nephews Braxton Beatty and Levi Callahan.
A private celebration of life will be held.
