Daniel Wayne Fisher, 84, passed away September 7, 2026.
A native of Madison County, North Carolina, a son of the late William Wayne and Treva Jonnie Silver Fisher; he was a retired dispatcher and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
After retirement, he continued to work in his shop tinkering with cars and at Auto Zone. Dan was a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He prioritized his faith; loved and served the Lord. He was always willing to lend a hand to help others.
Surviving are his wife, Janet McCants Fisher of the home; a son, Jeff Fisher (Renee) of Taylors; a daughter, Amy Childers (Jason) of Taylors; a brother, Jess Fisher of Marshall, North Carolina; and three grandchildren, Caleb Daniel Childers, Nolan Montgomery Childers, and Aubrie Jane Childers.
A funeral service will be held at noon Sept. 11 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Cory Horton. Burial will follow in Graceland East Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held at 11 to 11:45 a.m. Sept. 11 at Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
