M. Lee Daniels Jr., 69, of Greer, South Carolina, went home to be with his Savior on September 3, 2026.

Lee lived for the first two weeks of his life in New Jersey. He was the son of the late Melegia Lee Daniels, Sr. and Cardella Beardsley Daniels.

Lee was a retired attorney who practiced in both North and South Carolina. He served on the board of Miracle Hill Ministries, faithfully served his church and most importantly, devoted his life to serving Jesus.

He was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with honors. Lee was a larger-than-life fan of the NC Tar Heels and loved cheering them on. He also loved traveling with his wife, Vickie, especially taking cruises and making memories together.

Most importantly, Lee was a devoted Christian who was passionate about missions, both at home and around the world. Spread Truth Ministries held a special place in his heart. He led countless people to Christ through his words, his actions and the way he lived his life. Lee loved Jesus and that love radiated through everything he did and everyone he encountered.

Lee is survived by the love of his life and wife of the home, Vickie McAbee Daniels; two sons, John Daniels of Spartanburg and Andy Daniels (Lauren) of Easley; four daughters, Allyson Stovall of Chesnee, Jamie Hawthorne (Chad) of Greer, Kristi McIntyre (Ryan) and Laura Ashley Taylor (Don) of Columbia; sixteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his special mother- in-law, Vivian Campbell McAbee.

Lee’s life was a testimony of faith, love, service, and devotion to his Savior. His legacy will live on through his family, the many lives he touched and the countless people he led closer to Christ.

“Your job is done here, good and faithful servant.”

The family will receive friends at Praise Cathedral from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Sept. 12 followed by a celebration of life at 12:30 p.m.
