Max Gerald Few, 90, passed away September 6, 2026.
A native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina, son of the late Boyce Earl and Elsie Genoble Few, he was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and a retired employee of Certanium Alloys, and a member of Washington Baptist Church. Max was a salesman for Quality Cadilac and Oldsmobile and was a reserve police officer with the City of Greer for several years.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Emory Few of the home; a son, Dale Few (Cindy) of Landrum; a daughter, Michelle Boone (David) of Campobello; and six grandchildren, Abigail McCall, Kaitlyn McCall, Hunter Hughes, Hailee Hughes, Rivers Riddle, and Braelyn Riddle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 10 at Washington Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Trent Henson and Dr. Drew Hines. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be David West, Chuck Lister, Benji McCall, Hunter Hughes, Clint Hughes, and Mike Henson.
Honorary escorts will be Cliff Rice, Ross Burgess, Jim Benson, Frankie Rogers, Whitey Tapp, and David Tapp.
Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Sept.10, 2026, at Washington Baptist Church.
