Samuel Nelson Powell II, passed away on September 5, 2026. He was the son of the late Butch Powell and Barbara Ridings Powell.
Nelson grew up in Boiling Springs and was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School. He worked for Butch Powell Heating and Air for many years. Music was an important part of his life, and he loved listening to it often. He also cherished spending time with his “grandsons”, Adrian and Aidan Jimenez Lawrence, who brought him great happiness. Nelson will be remembered for his love of music, his devotion to his family and the special bond he shared with Fu-Man, his late pug. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Nelson is survived by Kathy Paris; his brother, Heath Powell; and nephew, Nolan Powell.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 11 at Living Waters Funeral Home & Crematory.
