The Greer Farmers Market has announced its 2026 Core Market Season, which will run from April 26 to October 4. The market will feature over 45 local farmers, makers and bakers, as well as live music, food trucks and unique activities. Each market will have a different theme, including Farm Day, Strawberry Day and Mushroom Celebration. The market will be held every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Greer City Park.

The Greer Farmers Market has opened its vendor application for its Core Market Series, which runs from late April to early September. Local farmers, bakers, and artisans can apply to be a summer vendor online. The application fee is $20, and the process differs for new and returning applicants. Market fees have increased for every vendor category except for farmers, and all revenue-accepting vendors, excluding farmers, are required to get a business license from the City of Greer.

The Greer Farmers Market is introducing a program that will allow attendees to double their SNAP benefits during the 2026 core market season. Shoppers using EBT or SNAP at the market will be able to get double the amount in vouchers, up to $40, in addition to $15 in Healthy Bucks tokens for fruits and vegetables. The program will officially begin on April 26.

The Greer Farmers Market has concluded its 2025 season, averaging 1,000 attendees per market. The market, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, featured 22 farms, 21 food vendors and 36 musicians. This year, it also introduced the Healthy Kids program, which provided $5 vouchers to children to spend on local produce. The market plans to continue bringing excitement to Greer City Park on weekends, with the Winter-Spring Market Series kicking off on Jan. 25.

The Greer Farmers Market is bringing back its Annual Chili Cookoff Fundraiser this Friday, November 14 from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at Greer City Park. Competitors will continue serving chili until 8 p.m. or until sold out, and tasting tickets will be available at the Greer Farmers Market booths.

The Greer Farmers Market is hosting its annual trick-or-treat market on Oct. 24, with over 45 local vendors, live music, food trucks and plenty of candy. The event is a partnership between the Greer Farmers Market and Greer Alive, and will take place in Greer City Park from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Costumes are encouraged. The market will also host its annual Chili Cookoff on Nov. 14.
