Greer CPW has opened shelter rentals for Lake Robinson and Lake Cunningham for 2026, with three shelters available for rent at the J. Verne Smith Recreational Area and a third shelter at Lake Cunningham Park. The shelters feature tables, electrical outlets, and public restrooms, with rental prices ranging from $100-$300 based on location. Daily and season permits for boats and fishing are also available, with exemptions for anyone over 65, military personnel, and children under 16. Park hours are sunrise to sunset year-round, except for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Greer CPW is hosting its fourth-annual Lake Robinson Day on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event features educational exhibits, inflatables, kayaking, outdoor yoga sessions, a rain barrel workshop, a tree giveaway and a blood drive. The aim is to highlight the lake's importance as an economic driver and recreational area, and to educate people about where their water comes from.
